2013 chevrolet avalanche review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. All avalanche models come with a standard 320-hp 5. 3-liter v8 flexfuel engine with active fuel management coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. Safety features that come standard on all models include front seat and side curtain airbags; latch rear-seat child safety seat anchors, stabilitrak with proactive roll avoidance and the onstar crash-notification system. For 2013, the chevrolet avalanche receives more standard equipment, and new exterior colors. Remote engine start, rear vision camera, and power-adjustable pedals, are now all standard equipment. Lastly, the model name has been updated to "black diamond avalanche" for the remainder of the final production model year.
